About Us

We are so excited to help you and your loved one in this unique life journey! Dave and I have 5 children who all grew up in Colorado. Our 5th child, Damon, was born in 1999 and we knew there was something different about him. He had distinctive physical features and progressed slowly, physically, and mentally. For years we had numerous evaluations and tests, but there was no diagnosis. His IQ was very low and he lacked the ability to think abstractly (He still has no concept of time).

Since genetic testing is an ever-evolving science, we had Damon tested again in 2014 and a diagnosis was reached! He had De Nova KMT2A, an extremely rare, atypical Wiedemann-Steiner syndrome. At the time of his diagnosis, he was only the 9th known person in the world with this particular syndrome. We finally had an answer!

As we progressed into available programs for Damon it seemed as if we were building a sandcastle at high-tide; Social Security, Medicaid, Community Boards, PASA’s, HCBS, SLS-CES Waivers, Evaluations, Highschool programs, after high school programs…the more we learned the more the process expanded. It was overwhelming! We dove in and through time and effort learned about all the programs. We decided that we wanted to help as many caregivers as we could through this difficult and confusing process and help provide a better quality of life for you and your loved one.

First and foremost, we want to help and support you along this path! We want to be available to answer questions, provide our experience, and help you maximize the available state and federal programs.

Secondly, we want to be your Program Approved Service Agency. We hire caregivers (parents, family, and friends) as independent contractors which means we pay more per hour per service; we cut out the overhead.

We want to be a part of this unique life journey with you.
